Most visitors come to Ayia Napa for the beautiful beaches and lively nightlife. There are a couple of interesting places in the town that will appeal to all the family. Day trips to Protaras, Paralimni and Cape Greco are also popular.
Ayia Napa monastery and it's gardens are a welcome haven from the hustle and bustle of the town. The church was built in the 16th century over a cave and an icon of the Virgin Mary is rumoured to have been found here. The monastery was abandoned in the 18th century but later restored by the British.

MarineLifeMuseumhas a large number of exhibits including fossils and shells from the island's waters. Turtles and sharks are displayed in a reconstruction of the seabed. Other sections feature marine fauna and even dinoasurs. This is a great attraction for all the family.
