Don’t expect the nightlife to be lively but Kyrenia has more entertainment to offer than many other towns on Cyprus. There are a few clubs and some live music bars that cater for the tourists who pack the town during the summer. These bars also hold karaoke and quiz nights as well as showing premiership football matches.
There are two cinemas in Kyrenia.
Of course you’ll find a host of restaurants and bars along the harbour. It’s worth paying a bit extra as it’s a great place to eat in the evening. The boats and castle are lit up creating a fabulous atmosphere. Some of the more popular restaurants get extremely busy in the summer so it’s worth arriving early for the best tables.
If you walk along the cobbled streets behind the harbour you’ll discover more traditional, cosier cafes and bars that have an atmosphere all of their own.
